Factual-distribution specialist TVF International has extended its first-look deal with Singapore’s Mediacorp for two more years.
TVF International already distributes more than 200 hours of Mediacorp’s factual programming. Mediacorp’s programs span current affairs, science, history and lifestyle programs. Upcoming in-house productions include US & China: When Titans Clash, the investigative science series Disease Hunters and the topical series Beyond the Viral Video. Popular recent releases include Mark of Empire: Asia’s Ancient Civilisations, Deciphering Japan and Wild City: Secret Forests with David Attenborough.
“Mediacorp’s productions are going from strength to strength, covering ever more ambitious topics with global appeal,” said Julian Chou-Lambert, acquisitions manager at TVF International. “From tackling the U.S.-China relationship and blue-chip wildlife featuring Sir David Attenborough to Asian presenters telling historical and contemporary stories from across the continent, their programming is diverse, forward-looking and provides audiences unique and compelling insights into Asia and far beyond. We are delighted to continue our ongoing partnership with Mediacorp and look forward to launching their exciting new releases in the months and years ahead.”
Jesslyn Wong, head of content distribution at Mediacorp, added, “We are happy to extend our partnership with TVF in this first-look deal. We have seen significant expansion of our footprint in the European, Middle East and U.S. markets in this partnership. We are certainly looking forward to further growth through TVF as we roll out more diverse and unique genres with an Asian perspective.”
