Grisù, one of the most loved characters of the 70's and 80's is ready for a comeback in a new original series as Rai Ragazzi has signed an agreement with Mondo TV to pre-buy the animated series Grisù for a period of seven years from the date of completion for free TV, pay TV, pay per view, VOD and ancillary rights for the Italian territory. Mondo TV Group, Toon2Tango and ZDF Enterprises will jointly co-produce the new series, which is based on the classic property Grisù created by Nino and Toni Pagot.
Grisù follows the adventures of a brave, positive, determined child, who wants to be a firefighter when he grows up—even though he’s a dragon who is meant to become a fire-breathing dragon. The new series of Grisù will consist of 52×11-minute episodes and is expected to be completed in the second half of 2022. Co-producer ZDF Enterprises will be the distributor of the new series worldwide, excluding Italy, France, Spain and China. Worldwide L&M rights will be handled by Mondo TV and Toon2Tango via their joint distribution network.
