Rockerdale Studios, the digital first, purpose-driven comedy content producer, has been commissioned by Channel 4 to produce a ground-breaking multi platform social media piece of content, timed to coincide with Earth Day on Thursday, 22nd April.
Man Like Greta is a 30-second TikTok dance challenge parody that features AI-driven deepfake technology combined with a performance by impressionist Katia Kvinge playing Swedish environmental activist Greta Thunberg.
The TikTok dance challenge will be followed by ‘Dance Tutorial: Man Like Greta’ (1 x 3min), a short form video that will demonstrate to avid TikTok’ers how to get involved and take on the iconic dance and will roll out on Channel 4’s YouTube, Facebook, Snapchat and Instagram social channels. The tutorial video was co-written by Stu Richards and Alasdair Beckett-King.
In ‘Man Like Greta’, we will see the world-famous environmentalist throw shapes to the original song ‘Man Like Greta’, which was jointly composed by Rockerdale Studios and TV music specialists The Nerve, featuring Bradford-based hip hop artist Ali Izrail.
‘Man Like Greta’ is the latest commission for Rockerdale Studios - one of the fastest growing comedy production companies - following its productions ‘Bobby & Harriet Get Married’ for Viceland and ‘Brad Boyz’ and ‘Mission: Accessible’ for Channel 4.
