LA Virtual Screenings 2021 begins on May 11 and, in addition to the content offering at VS Market, it offers the conference portion, VS Next, including more than 40 panels, sessions, showcases and “Testimonials of the Industry”. New contents will be premiered during each day, from May 11 to May 19. VS Next is sponsored by Roku Inc. and exclusively produced by Juan Pablo Morales Sarmiento from Nuevos Medios Entertainment.
The 20-mins sessions are dedicated to current hot topics, including digital, entertainment formats, eSports, distribution and programming trends, while the panels will be of 40-60 minutes each; the “Testimonials of the industry” are videos of 2-3 minutes from top executives from around the world commenting on their operations, markets and trends. Close to 100 key global decision-makers are taking part of this portion of the market.
On the panels side, the first one on May 11 is “The Future of Streaming: What’s next”, co-developed and co-produced with the global research firm OMDIA, which will offer key data & insights and will discuss with leading global OTTs, headed by Maria Rua Aguete, senior research director. Mirjam Laux, VP International Platform, Roku, Marco Nobili, SVP of Marketing, Streaming Division, ViacomCBS Networks International, Archana Anand, Chief Business Officer, ZEE5 Global (India), and Jeff Cooke, VP of Programming, International Digital Networks, STARZ, are part of it.
In addition, Globo will offer an exclusive launch showcase of its new drama, Once We Were Six, where Marina Melo, Sales Manager; Angela Chaves, Author; and Ana Brancato, Research and Knowledge Specialist from Globo, will talk about the story behind the series and the conception details.
