ITV reboots Undercover Boss
UK commercial broadcaster ITV is rebooting classic Studio Lambert format Undercover Boss.

A four-part series titled Undercover Big Boss has been commissioned featuring bosses at removals firm Pickfords, car dealership Bristol Street Motors, residential park and holiday home operator Wyldecrest Parks, and takeaway firm Euro Foods Group, who will join workers on the bottom rung of the ladder as the businesses attempt to recover from three separate Covid-19 lockdowns.

The format originated in the UK on commercially funded public broadcaster Channel 4 where it aired for six seasons from 2009 to 2014. It subsequently spawned a US remake on CBS which has aired 10 seasons so far.

Undercover Big Boss was commissioned for ITV by factual commissioner Kate Teckman and head of factual entertainment Sue Murphy.

For Studio Lambert, series editor is Richard Mears and executive producers are Rachel Bloomfield and Mike Cotton.
