For the second year, the show is presented by Ilaria Blasi and it's produced by RTI with Banijay Italia .
In studio, the two special commenters are Vladimir Luxuria and Nicola Savino, while corresponder Alvin is in Honduras for the fourth time.
The first big news of this edition is in the cast: one part of the castaways will be made up of couples united by a bond (love, family or friend) and the other by "single" competitors.
The couples are: Carmen Di Pietro and his son Alessandro Iannoni, Clemente Russo and his wife Laura Maddaloni, Guendalina and his brother Edoardo Tavassi, Jeremias and his father Gustavo Rodriguez, Lory Del Santo (already winner of the 2005 edition) and his partner Marco Cuculo, Silvano Michetti and Nick Luciani and two members of the Cugini di Campagna musical group.
The “single” competitors are: Antonio Zequila, Blind, Estefania Bernal, Floriana Secondi, Ilona Staller, Jovana Djordjevic, Roberta Morise, Marco Melandri, Nicolas Vaporidis and Roger Balduino.
At the center, as usual, is survival on the island with one goal: to win. In fact, only one of the many competitors will win the final prize pool of 100,000 euros in gold tokens (half to be donated to a charity proposed by the winner).
