Peacock will produce the American version of The Traitors, a thriller reality competition based on the Dutch show of the same name.
Set in a remote castle in the Scottish Highlands, the U.S. adaptation will be hosted by Alan Cumming. Reality TV icons and America’s best game players will compete in a game full of alliances, deception and even “murder” for the chance to win up to $250,000.
Peacock has ordered ten episodes of The Traitors, which will go into production later this month. Contestant casting will be announced at a later date.
The show is produced by Studio Lambert Scotland with Stephen Lambert, Mike Cotton, Toni Ireland, Jack Burgess and Sam Rees Jones serving as executive producers.
