The first edition of the show started in 1996 in the daytime slot and during the years had some developments, in the origin show, men and women, on the other hand, faced marital and family problems of a couple (or an ex-couple) such as separation, relationships and problems with children, problems at work and their repercussions on married life, difficulties in intimacy and those due to everyday routines, betrayals etc.
The stories were commented by the audience in the studio (initially divided into an audience of forty men and another of forty women, who interacted with the guests of each episode, and the presenter who acted as moderator of the debate between the audience and the protagonists.
Despite the various situations had evolved, the show recorded an average share of 3mln viewers with an audience share of 23.50% and it's one of the longest talk/dating show of Mediaset.
