The announcemnt was made by the Italian Media giant in a press note declaring that :" after 35 years of activity the brand has been included in Mediaset".
Thanks to the new agreement, Mediaset will become the owner of the Zelig brand and all rights to exploitation of the archive, TV productions and websites, while founders Gino Vignali, Michele Mozzati and Giancarlo Bozzo will continue to run the theatrical business.
With Zelig, Mediaset aims to create content for the TV and web properties of the Group. In addition, this deal will strengthen Italy's largest forge of talent and develop the search of the protagonists of the future of comedy, also thanks to the continuous collaboration with the founders".
