Hosted by Giorgio Locatelli, internationally acclaimed starred chef (MasterChef Italia) sees two pairs of aspiring home chefs competing to demonstrate their talent in the kitchen, transforming their homes into a real home restaurant for a day.
They have to prepare the room and cook their best menu, to be served to the opposing couple and of course to the very strict judges: Giorgio Locatelli and Enzo Miccio.

At the end of each lunch or dinner, the challenger couple is asked to give a mark from 0 to 10 on the atmosphere of the house and the mise en place, the two items that characterise the 'home' category, and on the menu and service, which instead define the 'restaurant' category. Their vote will be added to that of Giorgio Locatelli, who will always give a vote from 0 to 10 for the "restaurant" category alone, which is more related to food preparation, and that of Enzo Miccio, who, with his critical and ironic eye, will instead express his judgement on the part related to the presentation of the house.
The couple receiving the most points wins the title of best home restaurant of the episode, and a prize of 1,000 euros in gold tokens. In addition, they have the chance to join 'Le Cesarine', the oldest network of home restaurants and home cooks in Italy.
