The premiere of this edition was superior to 2022 with an audience share of 57.8% against 54.7% (10,9 viewers). Compared to last year, the Festival recorded +4.6% in percentage values and -154,000 in absolute values, ending about half an hour later (the 2022 prime time closed at 1:12). To find a prime time with a higher share, one has to go back to 1995 (65.2%).
Amadeus opens the Festival of Sanremo with the best result: 10.7mln
The first evening on Tuesday, February 7 dedicated to the 73rd edition of Festival di Sanremo on Rai 1 recorded a breaking result with 10.7mln viewers and an audience share of 62.4% share in the slot from 9.18pm to 1.40am. The opening of the Festival presented by Amadeus and Gianni Morandi was followed by 13.1mln viewers and 51.18% share. In the first block, Italian President Sergio Mattarella and his daughter Laura were welcomed by the two hosts and by actor Roberto Benigni who had a monologue about the important of the Italian Constitution. In detail, the first part, from 21:18 to 23:44, was watched by 14,1 viewers with 61.68%, while the second part, from 23:48 to 1:40, is followed by 6,2mln viewers with 64.83%.
