C21 has changed the name of Content East to Content Budapest as it confirms a long-term commitment to keep the event in the city and a renewed mission to support growth across CEE.
C21 has also signed an agreement with the team behind MRM, the Kyiv Media Week organiser, which will consult on the conference programme and build out relationships with buyers, commissioners and producers from across the region to take part in the event.
Content Budapest will take place at The Kempinski Hotel between June 27 and 29 with a mission to boost new programming relationships across Central and Eastern Europe and connect fresh crativity with international partners.
With this in mind, a two-day international coproduction conference will run alongside the market and screenings, and the Content Budapest Pitch Competition will aim to uncover fresh shows that can work across markets.
Content Budapest will invite up to 500 key buyers and commissioners from channels across CEE free of charge to the three-day event.
C21 has also confirmed it will host a boat party on Wednesday June 28, reviving a tradition born of the now-defunct Discop East.
