The Filming Italy - Los Angeles closes its eighth edition with the prestigious award to actor Giancarlo Giannini on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The award-winning actor was indeed honoured by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce with the 2.752nd star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in the Motion Pictures category. Together with Hollywood Chamber of Commerce President Lupita Sanchez Cornejo, there were Senator Lucia Borgonzoni, Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Culture, film producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael Gregg Wilson, and Tiziana Rocca, Artistic Director of Filming Italy - Los Angeles and promoter of the event.

Director and actor Giancarlo Giannini is worldwide acclaimed for his starring roles in Italian and international films. On 3 March, he was also honoured for his incredible career with the Filming Italy Lifetime Achievement Award, at the Harmony Gold Theater, by Filming Italy - Los Angeles, directed by Tiziana Rocca, and the Italian Cultural Institute of Los Angeles, with a marathon of his most famous films.

Giancarlo Giannini said: "I am very happy and at the same time intimidated to receive the star in Hollywood. I have been to America many times, also bringing my films with Lina Wertmüller. We had an incredible success. I also had an Oscar nomination for Pasqualino Settebellezze, but I think the star is more important. So I am for the public a star forever. A heartfelt thank you to Tiziana Rocca, who with Filming Italy, which she directed and organised, promoted this very important milestone for my career'.
