The Independent Producers’ IP Xchange will gather more than 40 independent production companies from across Europe in Germany for the first ever "Independent Producers' Xchange", an event for format sales, speaker-led learning sessions and networking opportunities.
The two-day event will be held at MMC Studios Cologne, in the heart of Europe. Leading distributors from Europe and Asia will meet with key producers from across the continent.
The event will create a trusted network for knowledge exchange for small and medium-sized production companies, whilst creating an opportunity for these production companies to hear about the latest format releases from distribution companies ahead of the MipTV market.

The event is the brain child of former Warner Brothers TV producer Wolfgang Link and TV marketing specialist Sandra Lehner.
Link says: “In our globally connected world, small and medium-sized companies are dependent on pooling their strengths. We want to create a basis for this – out of passion for content. We are acutely aware of the pressures faced by the independent production sector in accessing the best IP and intend to support this with our IPExchange”.
Lehner commented: "For this premiere, we specifically approached the independent production sector to give them access to some of the best new launches from distributors and are delighted to be hosting some top-name speakers for our learning sessions including from broadcasters RTL and RBB, Axel Fiacco, Luci Sanan, Sian Gwilliam and Tony Gregory.”
The event is sponsored by MMC Studios Cologne, runge.tv and GATZKE.MEDIA
