Something Special, the Seoul-based international Format agency founded by Format specialists Jin Woo Hwang (President & Executive Producer) and InSoon Kim (EVP & Head of Content) announce that the U.K.’s Interstellar TV has optioned the hit Korean celebrity format Battle in the Box.

Interstellar TV has produced many popular formats for the UK market including Singletown for ITV2 and Show Me The Honey! for CBBC and created original formats such as Question Team for Dave among others. This is the first format deal between the two companies.

Battle in the Box is a fun competition game show format in which two celebrity pairs team up to live together in a specially designed box set, where the size of living space and their budget are determined through a series of games and challenges.

Something Special's Hwang and Kim stated: “Battle in the Box has been such a fun show to work on and we love seeing it make its way around the world. Interstellar is a brilliant partner who’ve produced many excellent formats and we’re excited to see how they bring it to life for U.K. audiences.”
