Le Otto Montagne is, essentially, the story of a friendship born between two boys who, having become men, try to distance themselves from the path their fathers had taken but, due to the events and choices they face, the two always end up coming back home.
Peter is a city boy, while Bruno is the last child from a remote mountain village. Over the years, Bruno remains loyal to his mountains, while Peter comes and goes. Their encounters will lead them to experience love and loss, leading each back to their roots and causing their destinies to be fulfilled, as the two discover what it means to be friends forever.
