New 190x50’ daily drama series Mía es la Venganza (tr: Revenge is Mine), a production by Mediaset España in collaboration with Alea Media, will debut on Telecinco on Monday, June 12.
The story centres on Mario, whose younger sister Silvia died in a terrible car accident twenty years ago. He also lost his mother, who couldn't bear the pain and guilt of Silvia’s death and ended up taking her own life. Because of this, young Mario went through a long series of foster homes and youth centres, abuse and loneliness. He has few things left from his mother and sister, including a photo and some cryptic words he never forgot: words hinting that the woman who let his sister die was Sonia Hidalgo. Now, he is going to make her suffer as his own mother suffered, and the weapon for his revenge is called Olivia.
What consequences could a decision from the past have on someone’s life? How big could be the desire for revenge on someone hurt? What feeling shall prevail: love or resentment?
With Aurora Guerra (El Secreto de Puente Viejo) and Aitor Gabilondo (Entrevías, Vivir Sin Permiso…) as showrunners, this daily drama centers on unexplained secrets, a slow-cooked revenge, and an impossible love story.
Lydya Bosch (Serve and Protect, Los Serrano), José Sospedra (Disappeared, Bosé), and Natalia Rodríguez (High Seas, Loving is Forever) lead the cast of the series.
