The award grants the participation of ‘Guilt’ in the prestigious Visioni dal Mondo documentary film festival taking place in Milan this September.
This is Aboulafia’s second significant award for 'Guilt'. The film has already garnered international interest after receiving the DocsBarcelona Award at FIPADOC back in January, and its subsequent participation in the DocsBarcelona festival in May. ‘Guilt’ follows the incredible rescue mission of 200 Afghan women from Taliban-ruled Afghanistan, as global superpowers retreat from the country. The film focuses on the personal stories of five of those women. The film will be broadcasted on Kan 11 (the Israeli Public Broadcasting Corporation).
The Israeli Coproduction Market took place between 5 and 9 June in Tel Aviv. The event is entirely dedicated to exposing Israeli documentary projects to executives in the international documentary film industry around the world.
