The start of the new season includes the commissioning of the second season of Call My Agent – Italy, an adaptation of the French cult Dix Pour Cent, and Blocco 181, starring rapper Salmo who also produce the soundtrack of the all series like in the first season. The story is set in a contemporary Milan affected by Latin American gangs. Confirmed the second season of The King with Luca Zingaretti and period drama Domina.
Sky also revealed the first photos of the series They Killed Spider Man – The True Story of the 883.
The new scripted series include: the detective series Piedone written by Peppe Fiore (Lovely Boy, Il Re) starring Salvatore Esposito (Gomorra-La Serie) based on the famous movie “Piedone lo Sbirro” (1973) around Inspector Vincenzo Palmieri who returns to Naples and he is trained by a policeman called “Piedone” that uses unconventional methods to solve crime cases. The series is produced by Wildside (Fremantle), Sky Studios and Titanus.
Other new original title presented during the gala is La Mala inspired by Sky Documentaries’s series La Mala – Banditi a Milano broadcast in 2022 about real events occurred in Milan during the 70s when a violent crime band was attacking the big city. The series is produced by GreenBoo Production/Mia Film and Sky Studios.
Among the entertainment titles, Sky Italia confirmed its flagship programs like X Factor and Masterchef. The singing talent show is expected to return in September with a confirmed jury composed by Fedez, Ambra Angiolini, Dargen D’Amico and Morgan. Also confirmed the panel of chefs: Bruno Barbieri, Antonino Cannavacciuolo and Giorgio Locatelli for the new edition of Masterchef Italia that will return around December. The show is produced by Endemol Shine.
Confirmed also the adventure series Pechino Express with Costantino della Gherardesca and new edition of cooking show 4 Ristoranti with Alessandro Borghese and 4 Hotels with Bruno Barbieri. Both format are produced by Banijay Italia.
