Turkish distributor Inter Medya has licensed the drama series Aziz to TVN Panama. Starred by Murat Yıldırım, Damla Sönmez, Simay Barlas, Ahmet Mümtaz Taylan, Güven Murat Akpınar, and Fırat Tanış, the show bears the signature of Turkey’s acclaimed production company O3 Medya.
So far, “Aziz” has already been licensed to various countries such as Bolivia, Romania, the MENA region, Israel, and Macedonia. Moreover, recently Inter Medya inked a deal with Puerto Rico’s Wapa TV for the drama. Locally, the show started broadcasting on Show TV last November, topping the rating charts in each category since its launch.
The production of the series takes the audience to the 1930s with its atmosphere, art design, costumes, and make-up. The show follows the story of Aziz Payidar, son of the Payidar Family, which is the biggest and the one and only carpet manufacturer of Antakya, while he lives his life in prosperity and wealth. Aziz’s fate changes when he kills French delegate Monsieur Pierre’s son Lieutenant Andre.
Then he has to leave behind the lands he was born in and his precious love along with everything he has. Two years later, his return is going to be unexpected for everyone, because he has been assumed dead for two years, and everything has changed. Not only Aziz has lost everything but now under military occupation, Antakya is way worse than the times when he left.
"We are delighted to bring ‘Aziz’ to TVN Panama. As the show makes its way to TVN Panama's screens, the audience can anticipate a journey filled with drama and love,” commented Beatriz Cea Okan, VP and Head of Sales and Acquisitions at Inter Medya.
