The young adult drama (8 episodes) is produced by Verdiana Bixio president of Publispei with Rai Fiction, and it loosely based on the novel by Enrico Galiano.
The protagonist of the series is Gioia Spada (Gaja Masciale, “Sul più bello”, “Until the last beat”, “I Leoni di Sicilia”), she is a 16 year-old-girl with a difficult adolescence, as her young mother, Sabrina (Giorgia Wurth, “Maschi contro Femmine), is her nemesis. Beautiful, self-confident and very attractive, since she left her father several years earlier, she can't seem to stay in the same place for more than a short time. When she decides to move again to Gorizia, to the house of grandmother Claudia (Paola Sambo, “Occhiali neri”), Gioia's grandmother of whom she has a vague and distant memory, the impact is very diffcult. She finds herself as a stranger with the new classmates with different interests. One night she meets a boy who says his name is Lo (Costantino Seghi “L'ombra del giorno”) and, as the two get to know each other better, Gioia feels for the first time that someone is able to understand her world and understands that she is no longer alone.
The cast includes also: Matteo Branciamore (“I Cesaroni”), while the direction is led by Matteo Oleotto (“Zoran, my idiot nephew”, “It's all the fault of the fairy Morgana ”, “Never mess with the stars”). The 8-episode series is written by Valerio D'Annunzio and Vanessa Picciarelli.
