Context | The new entertainment show The Big Bang, launched in Belgium & The Netherlands in the mid of September, achieved a good result on VTM with an audience share of 43.7% (target 18-44, Live +VOSDAL), and an increase of +111% against the slot average for VTM, while on SBS6 in The Netherlands recorded an audience share of14.2% (target 25-59, Live+7), up almost 32% against the slot average for SBS6. The format sees three celebrity duos challenged to execute a series of exciting assignments in the studio all around popping balloons. They will enter the game arena in a race against time to get through the obstacle course in three entertaining rounds, with the ultimate goal: being the first duo to cause ‘The Big Bang’ by popping a giant balloon in the finale. Can they still think clearly while hanging upside down, or even under water? And who can answer general knowledge questions while there’s ‘electricity’ in the air and in the chair? Nothing is too crazy for ‘The Big Bang’!

Context | 8th season of local adaptation kicked off competing against a soccer game, ratings dipped for the second episode, dropping to 280k overall viewers (A3+) and a 2.8% target group share (A14-49). However, viewership picked back up to 320k overall viewers (A3+) for episode three, and a 4.4% target group share (A14-49).

A reboot of Quiz Taxi (local adaptation of Cash Cab) launched on Kabel Eins. The format last aired on the channel between 2006-2008. Host Thomas Hackenberg picks up unassuming members of the public waiting for a taxi, who can win cash for correctly answering questions. The premiere was the highlight of Kabel Eins’ early primetime, recording 370,000 overall viewers (A3+), resulting in a 2.3% market share (A3+) and 4.9% target group share (A14-49). Produced by Filmpool Entertainment. Sunday, September 3, 2023: 676k - 19.1% in 4+ (vs 18.3% for its main competitor). 
Context | Stripped across the schedule (Mon-Fri at 8:15pm) the first two daily episodes drew a 15.5% market share and 15.3% market share respectively. The third daily episode built the audience even further, posting a market-leading share of 17.7%, beating established leader The Price is Right on RTP. The second local adaptation (Casados no Paraíso) of the new adventure dating format launched earlier this year on VTM in Belgium. It has also sold to Germany’s SAT.1 and Australia’s Seven Network, where it is set to launch in 2024. SOHI Portugal is produced by Shine Iberia Portugal for SIC.
