Fox-owned AVoD platform Tubi has announced it aims to expand into several new markets, including a long-planned move into the UK, and has appointed former Endeavor Streaming exec David Salmon as its executive VP and MD, international.
Salmon is based in the U.K. and will report to Anjali Sud, CEO of Tubi. Tubi has exceeded 70 million monthly active users and is currently available in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Costa Rica, Guatemala, El Salvador, Ecuador, Panama, Australia and New Zealand.
Tubi initially announced its intent to launch in the UK market in 2019, but that move has not yet come to fruition. On Wednesday, it confirmed it will launch in the UK, in addition to saying it will push further into the Latin American market.
