Dutch Launch for Destination X on RTL 4
After a string of international adaptations of the format were announced in Belgium last year following its premiere on VTM, the Dutch version of Destination X is now set to debut on Friday in a key primetime slot on RTL4. Produced by Villain Studios, the Dutch iteration promises to captivate viewers with ten episodes of thrilling gameplay set against the backdrop of Europe's breathtaking scenery. Renowned actor Nasrdin Dchar will take the helm as the host.

In Destination X, ten contestants embark on the road trip of a lifetime aboard the innovative Destination X Bus, where appearances can be deceiving. With black-out blinds on the windows and reality often distorted, both contestants and viewers must navigate a maze of clues to decipher the truth. Every piece of information comes with a clue designed to aid the contestants and viewers in determining if they can trust what they see. Remaining vigilant is crucial, as at the end of each episode, contestants must mark their presumed location. The contestant whose X is farthest from the actual location is eliminated, forfeiting their chance to win the cash prize. Only the last surviving participants have the opportunity to search for the host's location, communicated through state-of-the-art drones and other advanced technical devices from the secret command post, ‘Destination X’.

Destination X is the brainchild of the award-winning Belgian production company Geronimo, known for their previous hits like ‘The Big Job Switch’ and ‘Doctor Davy’. With five other international adaptations currently in production, including American, British, and German versions, the format continues to enthrall audiences worldwide. Meanwhile, in Belgium, the home territory, preparations are underway for a second season.
