Nippon's TV Drama Mother to be Adapted in the Philippines
ABS-CBN will adapt the scripted drama Mother distributed by japanese Nippon TV for Filipino audiences, which will be known locally by its title Saving Grace and it will be top-billed by award-winning actress Julia Montes.

Mother achieved award-winning success when it first aired on Nippon TV in 2010 and it is now Asia’s most exported scripted format. The well-loved series about love and motherhood spawned various critically acclaimed adaptations in different countries - Turkey, South Korea, Ukraine, Thailand, China, France, Spain, Saudi Arabia, and Mongolia. The Philippine version records a landmark tenth adaptation of the coveted script.

The format will be produced by Dreamscape and this is the first adaptation of a Nippon TV series. The story focuses on the importance of family and motherhood, aiming to resonate deeply with both Filipino and international audiences.

Cory Vidanes, ABS-CBN's COO, expressed excitement and gratitude to Nippon TV for the opportunity. Yuki Akehi and Sally Yamamoto from Nippon TV also shared their confidence that the Filipino audience will love the adaptation.The series, set to air in 2025.
