Fremantle Acquires Stake in New Dutch Production House AMANT
Fremantle Netherlands acquires a stake in AMANT Productions, a promising production house founded in 2023 by Sabine Feij and Jeroen Compeer. This collaboration strengthens Fremantle's position in the rapidly changing media landscape. AMANT focuses on producing content with a strong emphasis on workplace reality and human interest. Additionally, AMANT has a keen eye for young talent, making it a place where emerging creators have the opportunity to learn and grow.

Sabine Feij and Jeroen Compeer are well-known in the media world, both having extensive experience in various genres. They began their careers at different production houses, concentrating on factual formats and talk shows. They have worked as editors, reporters, and chief editors for programs such as Jinek, Keuringsdienst van Waarde, Vijf Jaar Later, Expeditie Robinson, and Love in the Wild.

At EndemolShine Netherlands, they were responsible for reality shows like Lego Masters, Holland's Next Top Model, Big Brother, Staatsloterij Puur Geluk, and De Erfgenaam as editor-in-chief and delegated producer. In 2021, Sabine and Jeroen took charge of Dutch unscripted titles at HBO Max and Prime Video, respectively.

Georgette Schlick, CEO of Fremantle Northern Europe, said, "When we heard that Sabine and Jeroen intended to start a new production company together, we immediately initiated discussions. Both have a wealth of experience, a solid reputation, and an extensive network of both seasoned and young creators. They also have a sharp eye for successfully reintroducing existing format titles. With a catalog like Fremantle's, this offers tremendous potential. Fremantle sees AMANT as a partner with a complementary scope. We are greatly looking forward to this collaboration."

Sabine Feij and Jeroen Compeer, founders of AMANT, commented on the partnership: "From our first conversation with Fremantle, it felt like a strong match. Now that we have officially joined forces, it gives us even more leverage to grow AMANT and create more unique and impactful stories."

AMANT previously co-produced Help Mijn Man Is Klusser with Fremantle for RTL 4. Currently, AMANT is producing Welkom Bij de Familie! for KRO-NCRV and a new program for RTL 5 to be aired this fall.
