El Hormiguero to be adapted by Mediaset for Italia 1
The Spanish entertainment show El Hormiguero, after 17 years of success will arrive in Italy on Mediaset.

The most-watched show in Spain, with over 34 million viewers. In the midst of fierce competition with Telecinco and the arrival of presenter David Broncano on La 1, Antena 3's El Hormiguero is set to try its luck in Italy.

The program, hosted by Pablo Motos, began as a radio show on what is now Los 40 Classics. It made its television debut on Cuatro in 2007. After four years, in 2011, Antena 3 acquired the rights to the comedic talk show. Now, Italy, having secured the rights of the format handled by Onza Distribution.

Mediaset Italia will launch it with the local title Il Formicaio,  slated for September. The annoucement was made during the press presentation of Mediaset's 2024/25 Lineup by CEO Pier Silvio Berlusconi.
