On 30 August 2024, BBC Studios and CDA announced the launch of BBC Player on CDA Premium, beginning 1 September 2024. This move will make BBC Studios' multi-genre VOD service available to all CDA Premium subscribers in Poland, offering a broad range of award-winning BBC programming. BBC Player, already available on platforms like CANAL+ and PLAY NOW, will feature curated content from BBC Brit, BBC Earth, BBC Lifestyle, BBC First, and CBeebies.
CDA Premium subscribers will have access to various BBC dramas, factual entertainment, natural history series, and children’s programming. Notable offerings include "Absolutely Fabulous" (seasons 3 and 4), "David Beckham: For the Love of the Game," "The Diplomat," and "Inside No. 9" (season 1). The deal highlights the expansion of BBC Studios' on-demand platform in Poland, complementing the existing suite of BBC channels on CDA.
BBC Studios is a major commercial arm of BBC Commercial Ltd, generating £1.8 billion in revenue last year and producing over 2,800 hours of award-winning British content globally. CDA is the largest independent Polish VOD service, offering an extensive catalog of films, series, and live television through its CDA Premium platform.
