"This is our first time at Iberseries & Platino Industria," said Beatriz Cea Okan, VP and Director of Sales and Acquisitions at Inter Medya, in an interview with ttvnews. "Our expectations have been surpassed."
"We came with the mindset that, since it was our first time, we didn't know what to expect. It's true that Inter Medya's strong suit is distribution, but we've also started producing and co-producing. In this market, we've found new clients with new projects interested in financing or producing alongside Turkey," she revealed.
"We brought our expanded catalog of new miniseries and dramas, but this market is more focused on co-productions and exploring new projects for potential co-productions in Turkey," she added.
The executive also highlighted their recent announcement that the series Love Undercover, produced by O3 Medya, will have its first Korean adaptation, the result of this deal between the Turkish company and one of South Korea's leading production companies.
"Turkish companies have always sought new projects outside of Turkey to adapt, and now it seems the opposite is happening. This is the first time in history that a Korean company will remake a Turkish story."
