Sky Launches New Series Hanno Ucciso l'Uomo Ragno-La Leggendaria Storia degli 883 next October 11
The highly anticipated Sky Original series Hanno Ucciso l'Uomo Ragno- La Leggendaria Storia degli 883, directed by Sydney Sibilia,  will premiere on October 11th.
The dramedy (8 episodes) produced by Sky Studios and Groenlandia (part of Banijay Group), tells the remarkable story behind the rise of the iconic Italian band 883, which defined a generation in the 1990s.

With a cast including Elia Nuzzolo and Matteo Oscar Giuggioli (Il filo invisibile, Gli sdraiati, Vostro Onore), the series delves into the youthful journey of Max Pezzali and Mauro Repetto. Together, they unexpectedly created a national phenomenon, transforming Italian music and capturing the hearts of fans across the country. This coming-of-age tale not only narrates their personal and professional experiences but also highlights the creation of some of the band’s most famous songs, which became anthems for entire generations.

Despite coming from the small town of Pavia, Max and Mauro’s unique style and infectious music propelled them to fame, surprising both themselves and the music industry. Today, 883 remains an indelible part of Italian pop culture, with their songs continuing to resonate with old and new fans alike.

Directed by Sydney Sibilia (Smetto quando voglio, L’incredibile storia dell’Isola delle Rose, Mixed by Erry), the series marks his first foray into television. Alongside him, the screenplay was crafted by a talented team of writers including Francesco Agostini, Chiara Laudani, and Giorgio Nerone. The directorial team is rounded out by Alice Filippi (Sul più bello, SIC) and Francesco Ebbasta (Addio fottuti musi verdi, Generazione 56k).
