Io Canto Generation Returns with a New Season on Canale 5
On Wednesday, October 9, in prime time on Canale 5, the new season of Io Canto Generation, the talent show hosted by Gerry Scotti, will debut.

Under the artistic direction of Roberto Cenci, twenty-four young contestants, aged 10 to 15, divided into six teams, will compete in a series of six exciting episodes filled with emotional performances.

Each team will be led by a renowned Italian music star, including newcomer Lola Ponce and returning captains Fausto Leali, Anna Tatangelo, Mietta, Cristina Scuccia, and Benedetta Caretta. The young singers will not only perform alongside their mentors but will also have the opportunity to learn from them and explore a variety of musical genres. This unique meeting of two generations allows emerging artists to share the stage with seasoned performers who have already left their mark on the music world.

Returning to the judging panel are Michelle Hunziker, Al Bano, Orietta Berti, Claudio Amendola, and Fabio Rovazzi, with Iva Zanicchi joining in a new role this season.

Each episode will feature head-to-head challenges, with rankings determined by the judges’ scores, though the studio audience’s votes have the power to shake up the standings. Chiara Tortorella, representing R101, the official radio partner of the show, will also have a say in the final verdict.

Accompanied by a live band conducted by maestro Valeriano Chiaravalle, "Io Canto Generation" promises to be an electrifying showcase of music and talent. It’s a platform for young emerging artists to capture the hearts of the audience with their passion and spontaneity.
