The 46th edition of the Festival des 3 Continents will run from November 15-23, 2024, in Nantes and partner cinemas across Loire-Atlantique, showcasing a diverse range of films from Africa, Latin America, and Asia, with India and Hong Kong in the spotlight. The program will pay tribute to Indian cinema legends, including Raj Kapoor on his 100th birth anniversary, known for revolutionizing Hindi cinema, and Shabana Azmi, who will attend in person to celebrate her 50-year career. A retrospective on Hong Kong’s Derek Yee will explore his contributions to the New Wave movement in Asian cinema.

In addition to these honors, the Official Selection will feature contemporary films in competition and special screenings, many of which are world or European premieres. The festival also introduces "We Cosmopolitans," a thematic exploration of cosmopolitanism in French cinema, reflecting on multiculturalism and the vibrancy of youth. The festival’s family programming, "First Steps Towards the 3 Continents," offers films and workshops for young audiences, extending its reach to schools in the region.

The festival opens on November 15 at the Théâtre Graslin and concludes with an awards ceremony on November 22, with the winning films screened on November 23. The full program will be unveiled on October 24, 2024.
