ZDF Studios, the distributor of Simon Super Rabbit for TV and VOD in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, has expanded its partnership with GO-N Productions by acquiring exclusive merchandising rights for these regions. This marks a significant step in ZDF’s commitment to the beloved animated preschool series.
With its fifth season set for release early next year, Simon Super Rabbit will reach a total of 260 episodes, reinforcing its position as a global favorite among children and parents. The series, based on Stephanie Blake’s bestselling books (5.5 million copies sold worldwide), has achieved phenomenal success since its 2017 debut. Broadcasting in 150 countries, it has garnered over 3.5 billion YouTube views and an impressive 8 million subscribers.
Season 5 presales include broadcasters like SVT (Sweden), RTS (Switzerland), DR (Denmark), Cartoonito (Italy), HOP (Israel), VRT (Belgium), and Télé-Québec (Canada). In Germany, Simon Super Rabbit airs on KiKA and ZDF and is accessible via both networks’ popular streaming platforms.
The series follows Simon, a lively and mischievous young rabbit, as he navigates childhood with themes of family, friendship, curiosity, and respect for nature. Simon Super Rabbit has inspired a broad merchandising line across various regions, featuring toys, activity books, puzzles, and more.
