X Factor 2024 concluded its 18th edition, ending with the first-ever extraordinary outdoor finale in the international history of the format, live from Piazza del Plebiscito in Naples. The grand finale of the Sky Original show, produced by Fremantle and aired on Sky Uno/+1 and TV8, was the most-watched finale in the past four seasons, with an average audience of 1,765,000 viewers—a +51% increase compared to the previous season. The total TV share across TV8 and Sky was 8.6%, with 4,717,000 unique TV contacts. Overall, the Live Shows of this season achieved an average of 739,000 viewers on Thursday evenings on Sky’s pay-TV channels alone, marking a +23% growth compared to last season. Including Sky and TV8, the seven-day audience (excluding last night’s grand finale) reached 1,878,000 viewers, a +24% increase year-over-year. These numbers make #X2024 the best-performing season of the past four years.
On social media, the #XF2024 grand finale generated over 574,000 interactions in the Social TV Audience Linear measurement, up +87% compared to last year and +60% compared to the previous week. In the Same Day 24/7 measurement, interactions surpassed 617,000, showing a +78% increase compared to a year ago and +58% compared to the semifinals. With these social media figures, the finale was undoubtedly the best episode of the year and the top event of last night’s television lineup. In total, for the entire season, the show garnered nearly 5 million social media interactions in the Social TV Audience Linear measurement, representing a +58% growth compared to last year.
