Claudia Marra, Mediaset's Sales Executive , is actively engaging with multiple Latin American buyers at Content Americas 2025, taking place in Downtown Miami from January 20 to 23. With a packed schedule on the market floor, Marra is showcasing two key titles that have garnered significant interest: Mr. Mom and Back to School.
One of the most talked-about formats in Marra’s portfolio is Mr. Mom, a heartwarming and humorous series originally produced in Italy by RTI S.p.A. under the title Il Mammo. The show follows Silvano, a widower who takes on the challenges of managing a household and raising three children, offering a touching and comedic take on modern family life.
Recently, Mr. Mom was successfully sold by Mediaset Distribution to Poland, where the format is being produced by Telewizja Polska (TVP) with Brand Trust Partners serving as the executive producer. The Polish adaptation, titled Pan Mama, features popular actor Paweł Domagała (Gotowi na wszystko. Exterminator, Dzień dobry, kocham cię!, 80 milionów) in the lead role of Sylwester.
"With the success of Pan Mama - said Marra - I am confident that the format will appeal to Latin American markets looking for family-friendly entertainment with universal themes. Infact, the second format generating buzz is Back to School, an unscripted reality show that has already completed two successful seasons in Germany. The format features adults returning to a classroom setting to experience school life once again, with amusing and often surprising results.
Marra sees great potential for Back to School in Latin America, given its broad family appeal, humor, and accessibility in terms of production costs. “I am very confident about these two formats because they offer good entertainment for all the family, are feel-good formats, and can be produced with a low budget,” she stated.
