Despite the decline, Sanremo 2025 recorded the second-highest share in the last 25 years, surpassed only by Fabio Fazio’s 1999 edition (62.41% and 77.05% across two parts). However, in absolute numbers, it ranked lower than Amadeus in 2022, Morandi in 2012, Bonolis in 2005, Baudo in 2002, and Fazio in 2000.
Notably, the final had lower absolute viewership than the Friday night cover song special, an unusual trend in Sanremo’s history.
