Following its successful participation in the Berlinale Series Market 2024 and its resounding triumph in Latin America, where it won the prestigious Martín Fierro Award for Best Fiction Series 2024, Family Therapy takes another step in its global journey. The series will premiere in March on ChaiFlicks, the world’s leading streaming platform for Jewish content.
The series is produced by Tronito and GM Comunicación in collaboration with Flow, created by Ariana Saiegh and Gonzalo Arias, directed by Alejandro Ciancio, and distributed by The Ripple Effect.
"Family Therapy" follows Susi and José, a prestigious couple of therapists in their 60s who use a fusion of psychoanalysis and alternative therapies. When Susi's father dies suddenly, she separates from José, yet they stubbornly continue their joint practice - leading to hilariously misguided patient advice as their personal drama seeps into sessions. While navigating their own relationship chaos, they juggle their daughter's sperm donor complications, their directionless son's struggles, and Susi's manipulative mother's interference, proving that sometimes life's best therapy comes from embracing its messiness.
