Fox has officially renewed its medical drama series, Doc, for a second season comprising 22 episodes. This renewal comes ahead of the Season 1 finale, scheduled for March 18, 2025.
Doc premiered on January 7, 2025, and has quickly become Fox's most-watched debut in over five years, with the premiere episode attracting over 16 million viewers across various platforms. The series follows Dr. Amy Larsen, portrayed by Molly Parker, who, after a traumatic brain injury, loses memory of the past eight years. As she returns to her role at Westside Hospital, she navigates personal and professional challenges, including unexpected changes in her relationships and career dynamics.
The ensemble cast includes Omar Metwally as Dr. Michael Hamda, Amirah Vann as Dr. Gina Walker, Jon Ecker as Dr. Jake Heller, and Anya Banerjee as Dr. Sonya Maitra. The series is developed by Barbie Kligman, who also serves as an executive producer alongside Hank Steinberg and Erwin Stoff. Doc is an adaptation of the Italian series Doc – Nelle tue mani, created by Francesco Arlanch and Viola Rispoli.
Production for Season 2 is anticipated to begin later this year, with the new season expected to premiere as part of Fox's 2025-2026 lineup, likely in the fall.
