Another Italian series adapted in Greece

Italian series have long enjoyed popularity in the CEE region, but in recent years, they have gained renewed momentum—not only through increased sales of finished series but also with a growing number of local adaptations. According to CeeTV which recently reported the news, Italian series are getting new adaptations in the Eastern Regions.

A recent example is the Polish adaptation of Mr. Mom, which premiered recently. Meanwhile, this weekend, Greek broadcaster ERT1 will debut Mom in Secret, the local remake of Non Dirlo al Mio Capo, originally produced by Lux Vide for Rai in Italy.

Set to air on Saturdays and Sundays at 20:00, starting March 8, Mom in Secret follows the story of Lisa, a widowed mother of two who must conceal her personal circumstances from her boss—who, unexpectedly, becomes her new great love.

Greek actress Jenny Theona takes on the role of Lisa, while Antinos Albanis plays Panos Stefanidis, a charming yet cynical lawyer. With every challenge Lisa faces at the law firm, she finds a way to succeed, ultimately earning a fresh start in every aspect of her life—emotional, professional, financial, and social.

Produced by Primavisione, the series is directed by Nikos Zapatinas, with a script by Panos Amarantidis.
