The sneak peek was presented during the Next From Spain showcase, organized by ICEX to spotlight some of the most anticipated upcoming Spanish fiction titles. On stage were Esther Agraso, Head of the International Area at Plano a Plano, and Dan March, Managing Partner at Dynamic Television, joined by Miguel García, Sales Director at Atresmedia, and Silvia Cotino, Head of Sales at Mediaset España. The session was moderated by Irene Jiménez, co-founder of digital media outlet Audiovisual 451.
The story is focused on Sara, a psychologist that after twenty-five years she discorvers her father was a murderer, and she shaken when a new death appears to be linked to his past crimes. But this time, she fears the killer may not be her father—but her own teenage son.
Created by Fran Carballal (Scar, Una vida menos en Canarias) and Enrique Lojo (En fin, Una vida menos en Canarias), Innate is produced by Plano a Plano Bilbao and Innato La Serie AIE, in association with Dynamic Television, which is also handling international distribution. This marks Dynamic Television’s first venture into Spanish-language originals, expanding its slate of premium international dramas.
“We were drawn to Innate by the strength of its writing, the originality of the concept, its stellar cast, and the outstanding production team at Plano a Plano,” said Dan March.
Esther Agraso added: “The financial model behind Innate—combining pre-sales, tax incentives, equity investment, and distribution MG—makes it particularly attractive for producers. It allows us to retain full ownership and benefit from future international sales.”
The eight-episode, 45-minute thriller stars Elena Anaya (The Skin I Live In, Wonder Woman, Rifkin's Festival) and Imanol Arias (Cuéntame cómo pasó).
Executive producers include César Benítez, Emilio Amaré, Álvaro Benítez, Fran Carballal, Dan March, and Carrie Stein. Direction is by Lino Escalera (Hamburgo, No sé decir adiós, Australia, Élite) and Inma Torrente (Valeria, The Envoys).
The writers’ room, led by Fran Carballal, features a team of acclaimed screenwriters: Enrique Lojo, Pablo Roa, Verónica Marzá, Fernando Sancristóbal, and Pablo Manchado.
