Multi-award-winning actor Mélanie Laurent to join the cast of Fauda for Season 5
yes Studios is excited to announce that the internationally renowned French actor Mélanie Laurent will take a lead role in season 5 of Fauda when it begins production later this month.

Laurent is best known for her movie career, which first saw her come to international prominence in 2009, working alongside Brad Pitt in Inglorious Basterds and for key roles in Now You See Me (2013) and Operation Finale (2018). In Fauda, where she will feature in seven of the nine episodes in the upcoming season 5, she will star alongside Lior Raz, with whom she previously worked on the 2019 Netflix title 6 Underground.

Laurent is one of the most admired and respected actors in France today. She is the recipient of two prestigious César Awards and a Lumières Award. Her most recent work includes The Flood (2024), where she played Marie-Antionette, and Freedom (2024), starring Lucas Bravo (Emily in Paris), which she wrote and directed.

Details about her character and role in the new series of Fauda are currently being kept under wraps.

Based on the real-life experiences of its creators, Fauda follows a team of elite Israeli undercover agents as it works to apprehend terrorists. With its authentic performances and gritty, credible storylines, Fauda has long been acknowledged as portraying the complex Israeli-Palestinian conflict in a fresh way while opening a valuable window into the present-day Middle East.

Created by Lior Raz and Avi Issacharoff, the new season of Fauda is being helmed by Season 4 director Omri Givon (Hostages) and written by Omri Shenhar (Tehran, Magpie). Fauda is produced by yes TV and L. Benasuly Productions for yes TV. yes Studios handles the series’ international distribution.

Fauda is a multi-award-winning series, including Best Series, Best Screenplay, Best Director and Best Actor at the Israeli Academy TV Awards.

Fauda season 5 is expected to premiere on yes TV in Israel in early 2026, followed by a worldwide launch on Netflix, the global home to its first four seasons.
