UK independent production company, Keshet Productions UK today announced it has hired Golden Balls and Tenable co-creator, Jamie Ormerod as Director of Development in a move to bolster its non-scripted development team. The move accompanies recent hires of Tom Sutton as Senior Development Producer and Alice O’Brien as Development Assistant Producer.
Ormerod, Sutton and O’Brien’s appointments build on the company’s growth since its launch in 2012 and supports its burgeoning non-scripted portfolio. Headed up by Creative Director Non-Scripted, David Williams, the department’s recent credits include ITV2’s Celebrity Showmance and E4’s Walk of Shame Shuttle as well as When Do You Get Off? for ITVBe.
The new recruits join Keshet Productions UK’s growing non-scripted development team which includes the industry-leading creatives behind some of the genre’s landmark shows, including Celebrity Big Brother, Wife Swap, Dragons Den, Made In Chelsea and Playing It Straight. The indie led by Managing Director, Sammy Nourmand, is also known for its breakthrough scripted productions including Channel 4 comedy-drama Loaded and returning BBC One series The A Word.
Jamie Ormerod brings a wealth of experience to the position, having previously served as a Creative Director at Endemol Shine and Executive Producer for Tuesday's Child and the BBC, working in entertainment and comedy entertainment. He co-created the ITV daytime hits Golden Balls and Tenable and devised That Puppet Gameshow with The Jim Henson Company for BBC One.
Tom Sutton has worked in entertainment development and production for the past 15 years, producing on hit shows such as I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!, Big Brother and You're Back in the Room. Whereas, Alice O’Brien joins Keshet Productions UK having previously worked on standout entertainment shows such as Tattoo Fixers and TOWIE.
