Global streaming giant Netflix is reviving the classic true crime docuseries Unsolved Mysteries.
As with the original, each episode of the rebooted series will look at a single unsolved mystery and invite viewers to send in tips to close the cases once and for all.
Unsolved Mysteries originally ran for 11 seasons on NBC and CBS from 1987 to 1999 and was briefly revived at Lifetime and Spike in 2001 and 2008, respectively.
Original co-creator Terry Dunn Meurer will serve as showrunner and executive produce alongside co-creator John Cosgrove. Robert Wise will share showrunner duties and serve as co-executive producer. Shawn Levy and Josh Barry will executive produce for 21 Laps, producers of Netflix’s hit nostalgic supernatural series Stranger Things. Netflix has not yet set a release date for Unsolved Mysteries.
