Fremantle has acquired the international rights to Notre-Dame: In Flames, a one-off documentary special featuring exclusive footage of the recent tragic events in Paris where one of the most iconic buildings in the world, Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Paris, caught fire. Notre-Dame: In Flames (1x60’) is a minute by minute account of before, during and the aftermath of the fire at the historic landmark.
Just before 6.20pm on 15 April 2019, a devastating fire ripped through Notre-Dame, destroying its wooden roof and spire and sparked an international outpour of grief. This timely documentary shows exclusive video footage shot by the firefighters, Paris Police Department and tourists who witnessed the event unfold, as well as several exclusive interviews including the organist and Priest of Notre-Dame, who were inside the building when the fire began.
Originally produced by STP Productions and reversioned by TV Presse, a division of Fremantle’s French production arm, Notre-Dame: In Flames is the latest addition to Fremantle’s growing high-end factual slate of programming. These include Expedition with Steve Backshall from True to Nature Productions, Network Entertainment’s Punk from executive producers Iggy Pop and John Varvatos and Enslaved, from Associated Producers and executive produced by Hollywood icon Samuel L.
