Amazon Prime Video and Mediaset Espana present the comedy El Pueblo
Amazon Prime Video will present on May 14 the first series created in collaboration with Mediaset España, a comedy that will see some strange characters grappling with a whole new life, to start in a land far from their reality. The first season of El Pueblo, co-produced by Contubernio Films, will be available in streaming before being broadcast on TV on a Spanish Mediaset channel and the second season will be produced soon.

Created by Julián Sastre, Nando Abad and Alberto Caballero, also director together with Laura Caballero and Roberto Monge, the series talks about a surreal form of deurbanization starring by Spanish actors unknown to the Italian audience as Carlos Areces, María Hervás, Daniel Pérez Prada, Ruth Díaz, Santi Millán, Ingrid Rubio, Raúl Fernández de Pablo, Empar Ferrer, Ángel Jodra, Vicente Gil, Javier Losán, Felipe Vélez, Jairo Sánchez, Blanca Rodríguez, Elisa Drabben, Jordi Vilches, Silvia Casanova and Norma Ruiz.

A disparate and heterogeneous group of people respond to a misleading advertisement and will be catapulted into a new disturbing life but told with irony. The protagonists, fascinated by the idea to getting away from the crowded and hectic cities, will find themselves in Peñafría, a small and seemingly abandoned town of Soria: they will soon discover that they are not really alone and will have to learn to live with the natives of the place who are not hospitable.

El Pueblo talks about the difficulties of adaptation and the problems related to the abandonment of modernity, but its extra gear will be the comparison between two different humanity, "invaded" and the "invaders", who will share an emotional journey in which the changes, contradictions and mutual influences will mark the destiny of all.
