New deal for drama series Daydreamer distributed by Global Agency
Global Agency announces new sales for Daydreamer in Lithuania, Croatia, Albania and Israel.
After first hitting screens in the summer of 2018, the romantic drama “Daydreamer” has quickly
become a hit, doubling its channel’s average market share. That success is now feeding through into
international markets. After previous deals in Ukraine, Iraq, Spain and Bulgaria, Global Agency
announces that it has signed agreements for its sale in Lithuania, Croatia, Albania and Israel.
The series is produced by Gold Film, which has a proven record with previous productions such as
Iffet, Dila and Never Let Go. It has 150 commercial hours, and it’s successfully still on air on Star TV
with a good rating. It tells the story of a fun-loving daydreamer sets off on a tumultuous journey of
romantic adventure, leaving behind her father’s grocery store to tame the wild heart of a worldfamous photographer and teach them both about love.
Izzet PINTO, Founder & CEO of Global Agency, said: “We’re so pleased to announce these new deals
for Daydreamer. We’ve had confidence in its potential from the first day we launched it. It’s
delivering solid numbers in the countries where the show is currently on air. It is very important for
us to see that the demand for Turkish drama is still increasing. According to the information compiled
from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Turkish TV series sector, which has made a significant
leap especially in the last 10 years, came in second place right after the U.S. in export rates. There are
on-going negotiations for the drama in several territories and we are looking forward to seeing
Daydreamer on plenty of channels’ international programming.”
