Netflix thriller What/If marks the debut of Renée Zellweger in a series

The worldwide platform of streaming Netflix launches What/If (10x40-50'), an American anthological series created and produced by Mike Kelley (who talks about the same topic in other drama series).
Premiered on May 24th, the first season is produced by Warner Bros. Television. It’s a psychological thriller series focused on the eternal moral conflict between good and evil, money and feelings. Producers include Robert Zemeckis, author of the trilogy of Back to the future and the winner of Oscar awards for the movie Forrest Gump in the 1995. Maybe a second season will be commissioned.
Renée Zellweger is the star of the miniseries, her debut in a series in a completely different from her most famous role in the Diary of Bridget Jones. She plays Anne Montgomery, powerful and mysterious businesswoman. Anne wants to finance Lisa's ambitious biotechnology project, married to Sean, ex baseball star, in exchange for a night with her husband. Sean will not have to say a word to his wife what about happens, otherwise the contract will be canceled.
Explicit references to the 90s cult "Indecent Proposal", with a significant reversal of roles. In this series, in fact, the story focuses on the image of two very different women who struggle, at all costs, to achieve their goals. The role of men is subordinated to that, somewhat stereotyped, of women in power.
