The recording of the series Atrapa un ladrón started in February 2019 in the Costa Brava of Barcelona (Spain) and it finished in Buenos Aires (Argentina).
The series will be presented at the "Filming Italy Sardinia Festival" between June 13 and 16 with the special presence of the director Javier Olivares.
“Atrapa un ladrón” is based on the historical film "To Catch A Thief" by Alfred Hitchcock and tells the story of El Gato: a rehabilitated thief that fight against a mysterious impostor who is stealing in his name. The TV series has an incredible cast. It was created by Javier Olivares, one of the best rated showrunners in Spain and the responsible of the success of several successful Spanish productions such as “El Ministerio del Tiempo”. The cast is headed by Pablo Echarri, one of the most popular and prestigious actors in Argentina, who will play the role of Juan Robles. The other protagonist is Alexandra Jiménez, one of the most established actresses in Spain who will be the police inspector Lola Garay.
“Atrapa al ladrón" is the first original co-production of Viacom International Studios Americas and Viacom International Media Network South and Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
