The US Hispanic American network Univision premiered its first Turkish drama Endless Love this Monday, delivering a stronger audience than its closest Spanish-language competitor.
Aired locally as Kara Sevda, the Turkish drama distributed by Inter Medya, Univision’s Amor Eterno premiered at 7:00PM on July 8, 2019, out-performing Telemundo’s “Caso Cerrado” head-to-head by double-digit margins among Adults 18-49 (+18% adv.; 452,000 vs. 384,000) and Adults 18-34 (+70% adv.; 211,000 vs 124,000), as well as delivering a higher composition of 18-34 year olds (17% for “Amor Eterno” vs. 10% for “Caso Cerrado”).
In fact, Univision’s “Amor Eterno” also out-delivered Telemundo’s content in the 8:00PM slot (“Un Poquito Tuyo”) withacross Total Viewers 2+ (+40% adv.; 1.2 million vs. 862,000), Adults 18-49 (+34% adv.; 452,000 vs. 338,000) and Adults 18-34 (+60% adv.; 211,000 vs. 132,000).
In addition, the hashtag #AmorEternoUS was the trending topic on Twitter during its broadcast.

“Endless Love” won the International Emmy for Best Telenovela last year, marking a milestone for the Turkish television industry. In addition, the series won the Special Jury Prize at the Seoul International Drama Awards in 2016.
“Endless Love,” tells the love story between two youngsters who come from very different worlds: Kemal, born in a middle-class family and about to become an engineer, whose life is turned upside down when he meets Nihan, who comes from a wealthy background but finds herself distant from her own world. Viewers discover what happens when two people from different backgrounds fall in love and whether they can stay together.
