Korean studio Dragon presents a new romantic series titled When My Love Blooms. A story about Jae-hyeon (played by Yoo Ji-tae) and Ji-su (played by Lee Bo-yeong), who had a beautiful time together as each other's first love in the past. By the time they finally meet again, everything has changed. Their reunion happens by chance, like destiny, and reminds them of the days when they shined the brightest.
When My Love Blooms resembles the Wong Kar-wai movie, In the Mood for Love (2000), where an accidental love affair between a married man and a married woman is portrayed as a time as beautiful as flowers. In the end, their love is buried away forever at a temple in Cambodia. Even though the two don't end up together, the time they spent together is remembered as the most beautiful days in their lives.
Just like In the Mood for Love, When My Love Blooms may remind you of the beautiful days that you might have forgotten about. However, the message is clear: If you're in love with someone at this moment, this is the most beautiful time in your life.
The series (16x60') brodacst by tvN last April 25 is distributed by Studio Dragon.
